The Power of God’s Presence

EXODUS 33:15
“Moses said to him: If your presence does not come with me, do not make us leave here”.

THE POWER OF GOD’S PRESENCE
The secret to a successful, victorious life lies in realizing the presence of God in one’s life. Having his presence is worth more than wealth, fame and power. We can go anywhere when God’s presence is with us. The Presence changes your life.

Moses experienced the presence in the burning bush and from that moment his life changed, he realized that without the presence of God it was useless for him, to try to do anything, in fact when he received from God the commission to lead the people into the promised land, Moses said to God: if your presence does not come with me, do not let us go. It is as if he had said: we will not take a single step unless you assure us of your presence, because his presence of him would have distinguished them from other nations.

The same is true for us today for his people. The only point that differentiates us from non-believers is the presence of God “with us” who guides us, leads us, works his will in us and through us.

God made a promise to Moses: my presence will go with you and I will give you rest. God was saying no matter what battle or trial you face, you will be able to find rest, tranquility, trust in me.

The Old Testament is full of tales of the wonderful blessings experienced by those who had God’s presence with them.
It was evident in Abraham, even the pagans around him recognized the difference between their life and his: Abimelech told Abraham God is with you in everything you do (Genesis 21:22). The pagan king was saying: There is something different in you, Abraham God is with you wherever you go.

An Angel said to Gideon: strong and valiant man go with this strength of yours and save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: it is not I who send you (Judges 6:14) Although Gideon considered himself incapable, God called him a strong and valiant man. The Lord wanted to show that anyone is capable of doing when his presence is with him.
These stories and many others are intended to encourage and trust in the presence of God in our life: the presence of God guides our steps, opens doors for us, removes obstacles, removes worries and fears.

But God places a condition for having him in our life: consider King Asa, this man led the people of God to a miraculous victory over the Ethiopian army. After the victory, he returned victorious to Jerusalem and testified that it was the presence of God that put the enemy to flight. At the gates of the city the prophet Azariah met him at that moment the Spirit of God took possession of Azariah and said: The Lord is with you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

Don’t forget how you got the victory when you were in trouble, you searched for God with all your heart and God sent his presence. We maintain this constant communion in our life, we continually seek and desire his presence in our daily life and he will walk with us in our problems.
God loves us and will keep us in his presence.

GOD BLESS YOU
