Read Hebrews 4:14-16

 

So many Christians may really wonder what will faith and prayer will actually accomplish. If you could focus on one thing that would transform your prayer life, it would be this: staying, as much as possible, in acknowledgment of the presence of the Living God. That, alone, will absolutely set you free, strengthen you in the Lord and will make you a dynamic testimony to others. 

As a outcome of that level of intentional prayer, there are four promises that will result: 

  1. Provision: It is promised, in God’s Word, that when you pray you will have the PROVISION THAT YOU NEED. The Word of the Lord clearly states that He will supply our every need, according to John 14:14, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” So, why not ask today and see if the Lord will do it for you?
  1. Power: Faith and prayer will absolutely BIND THE FORCES OF EVIL for you. Matt.18:18, “Verily I say unto you, ‘Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” What a promise! Through prayer, there is power as all of Heaven agrees with your prayers. 
  1. Prohibition of the enemy’s advancement: Your prayers can directly BAR THE GATES OF HELL – Eph. 6:17–18, “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Stay there on the watchman’s wall of prayer and bar the enemy of your soul from entering into any situation of your life.
  1. Pouring Out: Can prayer OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN for you on a massive scale? Yes, it can! II Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Over and over in that scripture the Lord says, if you will (humble yourselves, pray, seek, turn), I will (hear, forgive, heal). He is willing to pour out upon His people if we obey and pray.

Call upon the Lord of Glory today and see that, surely, He will answer!
