Expect a Change
Hello friends. So glad you are with us again.
We just heard a song about a loving, faithful God and today, I want to talk to you for a few minutes about his hope. The Hope he gives us and the Hope we can have in him. His wonderful love.
In Psalms 147:11. The word of God says, “ The Lord delights in those who fear him and who put their hope in his unfailing love.”
Jesus loves you and HE LIVES! We have just celebrated Easter. We know that he is alive. The resurrection took place and that gives us hope that we have a better day coming!
You know, the definition of Hope is a feeling of expectation and a desire for things to change. That’s Hope! Yes, we have Hope.
The Apostle Paul wrote in several places in the New Testament what hope leads to.
*Hope leads to courage.
*Hope leads to patience.
*Hope leads to JOY!
It is one of the three things mentioned in Corinthians; faith, Hope and love.
We, as the children of God, we place our Hope in God’s promises. And we can see through uncertain times and the storms of life with eyes of Hope!!
Why?
Because we have Jesus in our heart and he is our friend. Therefore we can portray that hope that we have in us, that same Hope, we can give to others.
Now, how can we give that hope to people who don’t know Jesus? Perhaps, you are listening and you don’t know what we are talking about either.
The people around you that love Jesus, they can give you hope because they have anchored their life on the promises that’s in God’s word. They show you love, perhaps when you just don’t feel very lovable.
I like to reach out and help people and to be a friend. . even when people are not friendly. Hopefully, that brings them hope, that they can have something better, that they can feel better.
You know, we pray for people as Christians. This helps people to have hope, that they are going to be healed here…but remember, they can also be healed there.
*Hope in the promises of God.
*Hope helps us to look with expectation for change, yes ——change. Our hope is found in and through Jesus Christ.
He has become my Savior, my friend, my eternal king. And I believe that I will meet him someday. And that’s my prayer for you as well.
Hope is holding onto the promised endings. God’s word gives us Hope. If you don’t know him today, perhaps you can pray with me and say these words.
If you need hope in your life, sister in the Lord, then Jesus is waiting to give you hope as well.
Let’s pray :
Father we come to you and we thank you that You are our eternal God! That you gave your life, that we might be with you forever, just by saying we are sorry for the things we have done wrong. Lord I pray you will help my friends that are listening today to have Hope!
Hope in you. Hope that their life can change.
Hope that there are better promises and better days ahead.
Father, regardless of where we have been and the last year that we have come through, we have hope in you. We believe today that you will give us the strength to .. expect a change
and better days are coming!
Thank you for your love.
Thank you for your friendship.
Thank you that you have forgiven us.
In Jesus name. Amen
