Draw Near // Easter Devotional

“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

–Hebrews 10:22

Easter season brings many reflections for many different people. Reflections of childhood memories, Easter baskets filled with candy or the Easter egg hunt at the local park. Some people will feel pulled within to attend a church service somewhere because it is that time of the year.

Some will go to church because it is a family tradition to attend Easter services together.

But many individuals will not attend any church service although, they may contemplate the true meaning of Easter beyond the store front Easter sales. Others of us who know Christ will look forward with anticipation to a Good Friday service or an early Easter sunrise service. New clothes, seeing friends and celebrating our risen savior.

My question to you today is;

What may you do differently to persuade one person to attend the upcoming Sunday Easter service with you?

Or, What could you do to show God’s love in a better way to each neighbor around you during this season, especially if they are not Christ followers?

Christ died for all of us, all mankind.

Shall we continue to prepare only ourselves and our immediate family to attend our local church services or should we do more?

What shall we say when we stand before our Savior and He asks us this same question?

Prayer: Father forgive me for not reaching out more to those who do not know you. I want to be a soul winner for you. Help me to see people like you do, through eyes of love. Amen.
