December Devotional

Hello, I’m Kathy. I want to take just a few minutes to talk to you about, exalting the King during this season.

In the Bible there is a scripture that says, “This Is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”

These were the words that the Father spoke over Jesus the day he was baptized in water by John the Baptist.

This is the season of the entire year when all men think about that little baby, Jesus who was born in a manger.

Some think that he’s still a baby. Some think that he was a great teacher that spoke good things but I say, “ He is Jesus, my Lord.”

Who do you say that he is?

You see today I think about this season as Jesus, that baby who came and grew up. He became a wonderful teacher, a healer, he blessed many people and then he died on the cross. But that was not the end.
He came forth from the grace in three days but not long after that he went to heaven. Jesus is the son of God. He is the one that I call, Lord!

You know, in the manger he received gifts. Remember, those three kings who came from from afar? They heralded his birth, the angels in the heavens proclaimed that he was born. And everyone wanted to come and see where that star was hanging over that manger.
Many worship him today for being their lord and their savior because of what he has done for mankind.

You see, Jesus is with us, whether you know him or not. He is with us and he watches over us, in trouble times, good times and bad times. All the different situations.
In Isaiah 41:10 “Don’t be afraid for I am with you.” God is with us.
During the season of Christmas I admonish you to lift him up. Try not to think about all the things that may have happened this last year that were sad or maybe you are going through some hard times right now.
Think about, GOD loves YOU and me!
Think about the many times when you cried out in desperation in the night or during the day and HE was there.
Think about what he has done for us.
He has answered our prayers. Jesus watches over his children.

I worship him.

I want you to think about how much he loves you and how empty your life would be if you did not have him in your heart.
Perhaps, you don’t know what I am talking about. Perhaps, you just think about Christmas is being a time you have to buy presents for everyone.
Well, Jesus gave the best present of all. He gave himself. His very own self !

And he forgave us before we even did all the things that we should not have done. All we need to do tonight is say,
“Lord I am sorry, forgive me. Come into my life. I love you! Amen”
That’s all there is to asking Jesus to be lord of your life.
Let’s exalt him this season. Think about PEACE and LOVE and JOY and all the many other things that he does for us.

Let’s Pray.

“Father, we thank you for all that you mean to us. Thank you that you are with us no matter where we are and what situation we might be in. You will always be there for us to lean on. So we lean on you tonight and we thank you for your love. We ask you to hold us close and keep us in your hands. Father, we love you and worship you. We thank you with all our hearts. In Jesus name. Amen.”

During this season there is a song that we all
Sing. And I am going to sing it. You sing along with me. It’s called “Oh Come Let Us Adore Him”

“Oh come let us adore him…..
Oh come let us adore Him
Oh come let us adore him
Christ the Lord.

We give him all the glory
We give him all the glory
We give him all the glory
Christ the Lord “

Will you not exalt him with me this season ?!!
