Beyond the Norm

Beyond the Norm

Hi everyone, I just want to share a few thoughts on Beyond the Norm.
Beyond the norm. What is the norm? When you think of the norm, you think of something that’s normal or natural. So, beyond the norm is supernatural. We hear a lot about supernatural powers, and the heroes and role models like Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Harry Potter. So many heroes that we see on tv and we hear a lot of. But you know, we have access to a supernatural power as believers and as Christians, and it’s a supernatural power that doesn’t make us a hero, but it does demonstrate God as our hero, and that is the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit enables us to live beyond the norm, and the great thing is that we can access the power of the Holy Spirit at any time or any place. So, we can be walking along and we meet somebody and they say, “I’m not well. I’m sick,” and we can immediately say, “Let me pray for you. Let me lay hands on you,” and we can be a channel of God’s anointing and God’s power, to see that person made well.
We can access the power of God in our calling. When God calls us, very often we say, “Oh God, I can’t do that. Ask so and so.” And then the Holy Spirit comes and says, “No, I will anoint you. You don’t have to do this in your own strength. I will give you the power, and I will give you the strength.”
We can access the power of God over negative thoughts and bad habits. Sometimes we can become enslaved and trapped in negative mindsets and in bad habits that we’ve got into. But when we access the power of God, the power of the Holy Spirit brings release and sets us free, and enables us to think more positively, and enables us to believe in ourselves, and enables us to step out in faith.

Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We are carriers of the anointing and the power of God. We are channels through which the power can flow. Like those supernatural heroes, we can do all things. We can do all these great things but we’re doing it for the glory of God.

The power of God shapes our destiny. If you’re going on a journey, you want to get to the destination, don’t you. The supernatural power of God helps us and equips us on the journey. The supernatural power of God helps us to serve others, helps us to be like the Good Samaritan, stopping to help people along the way, helping us to go the extra mile. The power of God gives us strength when we become weary and when we become discouraged on our journey. We read of Elijah in the Bible, where he was discouraged and defeated, and an angel brought him food so that he had the strength to go on.

There are times in our lives when we lose our strength, when we face disappointments, when we face bereavement, when we face times of sadness. And those are the times when we need that extra strength, that extra anointing. And we can call on the Lord. And God is faithful. Did you have a situation and you said, “I don’t know how I did that. I don’t know how I got through that.” We know that it was the supernatural power of the Lord that strengthened us, that enabled us to face things that we never could have faced in our own strength. It was God.

So, I would encourage you to dare to call upon God for His supernatural power.

James 4:2 says, “We do not have, because we do not ask.” Imagine having all that power available to us, all those resources and we’re not tapping into it because we’re not asking God. You see, God’s power and resources are available for us, for our ministries, for whatever we are doing for God. Those resources are available for our day by day living and all the situations and circumstances that we encounter. That power and resource is available for our journey through life. We don’t need to run in our own strength. When we run in our own strength, that’s the time when we run dry. That’s the time when we become weary. We need to call upon the Lord. We need to wait upon the Lord.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint.” God wants us to be able to run and not grow weary. God wants us to be able to run the extra mile. God wants us to be able to minister to people with His supernatural anointing, and to see the joy on their faces when they find His healing power touching them, when they can feel the presence and the power and the anointing of God flowing through us. God wants us to go beyond the norm, to experience what it is to walk and live in the supernatural power of God. We have that resource available to us. Let’s tap into it today.
Prayer

Father, I just thank you now Lord for every woman that is listening to this word. Lord I pray for an increase of Your power and Your anointing upon her life, upon her family, upon her ministry, upon all of us Oh Lord, that we can go beyond the norm. I thank You Lord that You will release that increase of power and anointing upon everyone that is listening to this word today, in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Thank you for listening, and may God bless you, and may you experience that wonderful power, that supernatural power of God, to enable you to live beyond the norm.
