05 Jan Reflections of 2020
If it is true that we all looked forward to 2020, I remember Christians and non-Christians waiting for what this new year would look like, full of expectations. The truth is that from the beginning everything that surrounded the year was a bit dark, countries around the world with political problems, then fires in different parts such as Australia, California etc …
Then came COVID-19. That is when literally everyone began to be affected, at first it felt so far away, but when we had to live it it was really devastating to feel it so close.
In human eyes it has been a year of pain, suffering, loss, anguish, uncertainty, fear, all this is true, and I can admit that I also felt fear and anguish, but despite everything that my eyes see I can say that God continues being faithful. Today we are alive and God is still in control, even in the midst of difficulties and afflictions God has remained faithful, and I love to remember this Bible verse in John 16:33 In the world you will have affliction, but I have overcome the world . That is our security that He has already overcome, the Lord is the one who keeps us and protects us. Perhaps you have felt weak this year, but remember that in the midst of your weakness, God grows stronger.
If fear has flooded your life today, confess the word of God, declare that neither fear nor fear have authority over you, let us remember and take courage in the word when it tells us that God has given us a Spirit of power and self-control , not a spirit of cowardice, in Him we trust and towards Him we go, if He is with us, who against us?
Although for 2021 things still do not look as we would like, we cannot forget to place our hope in Christ, we do not place our trust in external things, since this will not help us in anything, rather keep walking trusting that each step you take It is God who is guiding us, keep trying, keep believing with hopes of a better future. He is your refuge in anguish, He is your soon help, do not lose your calm, here is a verse that always lifts me up, Psalms 42:11 Why are you downcast oh my soul and why are you troubled within me? Wait on God because I have yet to praise him, my salvation and my God. It is in the time of affliction that your praise must be stronger, raise your voice to worship, she will be your sword in the time of battles, it will be your key for the answers, if you trust and believe your adoration will be the key to your miracles.
