13 Sep Embracing The Impossible
Welcome to the Women’s Western Europe Church of God website. I’m Dr. Kathy, and today we’ve got a special guest, Dr. Chris Swift. And we’re going to talk about “EMBRACING THE IMPOSSIBLE”.
Chris: Amen.
Kathy: And today, I want to start with reading a scripture that definitely talks about, impossible things. John 1: 1. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. “. Now we’re talking about Jesus being with God in the beginning.
“Through him all things were made. Without him nothing was made possible. that has been made in Jesus was life. And that life was the light of men and the light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.”
Kathy: That’s impossible. What we’re reading! It seems like, how could that even be? Yet, thousands and thousands and thousands of people have accepted what seems, impossible. That’s the theme across Western Europe, the heartthrob of you for this year, and going forward. So would you share a little bit about the impossible? “Embracing the Impossible just like this”?
Chris: Well, first of all, we have to break the old mindsets which say that things are impossible!
Kathy: That’s right.
Chris: And that’s what Jesus came to do. He did impossible things to show that God can do all things. In fact, in Luke 18, 27, he even said, “the things which are impossible with men are possible with God”.
Kathy: Amen. Amen.
Chris: But it starts with breaking those mindsets that keep us from believing the Word of God as we read it, and believing the Holy Spirit as he throws light upon the Word of God.
Kathy: And as we begin this month, September, it’s a brand new season. School starts. People are done with their vacations. They’re ready to, kind -of get back in the mode, to be in church. Even the church world itself begins their church year in September. Now, here we are. How can our people across Western Europe embrace the impossible when they have to do the everyday normal things?
Chris: Well, for one thing, they can ask God to shine a light upon their dark situations when they’re going through difficult problems, be the physical, be the spiritual or emotional, whatever the problem may be, they can ask God with his Word to clarify what He can do and what He will do. So in other words, this is a foundation for embracing the impossible.
Kathy: It is. Jesus was our guide. What did he do in the beginning? He chose how many?
Chris: He chose 12. Ordinary people.
Kathy: And with those 12, impossible things happened. And they weren’t fancy people with lots of academic degrees. They were just ordinary people from daily life. People that would have said, “I can’t do anything. I’m nobody”.
Kathy: Well, just normal tradespeople who had learned a specific trade, and they weren’t eloquent in their words. They didn’t have a lot of education. But JJESUS CHOSE THEM to “EMBRACE THE IMPOSSIBLE”. Embrace the impossible of spreading the gospel across the world. And with those 12, he did it!
Chris: And you know, they were so full of the Holy Spirit and the boldness and power of God, that the rich people and the scholars of their day were amazed. And they said, “how can these people from the hills, how can they have this kind of power? “.
Kathy: It’s by faith. It’s by the Spirit of God. And they believed because Jesus said it! They believed what he said.
Chris: That’s right.
Kathy: And that’s a message for us today. No matter what we’re going through, no matter where we are, this is a new season. I have heard it over and over and over. We are in a new season of blessing today for the children of God.
Will you embrace the impossible? Will you believe that he can pull you out of the darkness, that he can change your situation? Jesus can do anything and everything. And we must, as believers, we must encourage one another even more because the day of his coming is approaching.
Chris: That’s the word in Hebrews 10: 24.
Kathy: And so, Bishop, I’m going to ask you to look right out there, and you’re going to help us to reach a hold of God and pray and believe the impossible!!
Chris: Amen. Well, let’s bow our heads in prayer.
“And God, we thank you that you have called us to a higher ground. You have called us, God, to remove ourselves from the low place of unbelief and to go to the higher place of believing that all things are possible.
Kathy: Yes, Lord.
Chris: “And God, we thank you that whatever obstacles may come against us, be they physical, emotional, spiritual, or material or otherwise, financial, whatever the obstacles may be, God, that you have called us to have faith and with you together, We can do all things as the scripture says, through Christ, I can do all things. And so we thank you for calling us to be strong and very courageous in these last days. And we thank you, Lord, for your Word, which is our foundation, to teach us and help us to reach beyond ourselves and believe beyond into the supernatural right now.
Kathy: You can ask Jesus to be your friend. He is right there with you. Ask Him, “Father, come into my life. Forgive me of my sins. I believe you are the Son of God. You died and rose again. And I believe you will live in my life and help me to face daily impossible situations and with you, Nothing shall be impossible! Amen.
God bless you. Make sure that you reach out to your friend, to your neighbor, and tell them, nothing is impossible with the Lord!
God bless you.
